How can I update the OS on my Media Nav Navigation system?

  • Insert an empty USB flash drive (recommended size at least 8GB) into the USB slot of your Navigation system in your car and turn on the head unit.
  • Press the Navigation icon > Options > Map Update > Options > Update.
  • This will synchronize the system’s navigation data with the USB flash drive.
  • Remove the USB flash drive from the head unit.
  • Download the Toolbox from the website to your computer. After installation, start the Toolbox.
  • Insert the USB flash drive which contains the saved data of your navigation device.
  • The Toolbox will automatically recognize the navigation data.
  • If there is an OS update available, a pop up will appear, click on the INSTALL button.
  • Once the OS installation is finished on the USB flash drive, remove it from the PC.
  • Insert it into the Navigation system.
  • A pop will appear automatically to install the new OS, accept it.
  • Successful installation of the OS is done.

How can I download purchased maps from the website?

Maps purchased on the website can be downloaded by using the Toolbox. Please install the Toolbox application after purchasing a map on the website. See the Guide for details.

What is Media Nav (Evolution) Toolbox?

Media Nav (Evolution) Toolbox is a free, easy-to-use application that allows you to download/purchase and install available map updates or other content (POI) onto your navigation system.

Which operating systems are compatible with Media Nav (Evolution) Toolbox?

Media Nav (Evolution) Toolbox is compatible with one of the following operating systems, installed on your computer:

  • Windows OS versions that are currently supported by Microsoft,
  • MacOS versions that are currently supported by Apple

The email address is a unique identifier of your account. If you cannot create an account with the given email address, please check whether you mistyped it (an email address must have ‘@’ and a valid domain name ‘@xx.com’. It may also be the case that the given email address is already used. In that case, please try to log-in and ask for a new password.

I forgot my password. What can I do?

If you forgot your password, you can use the Forgot Password link in the Toolbox to recover your password.

Do I need to create an account in the Toolbox to download the purchased maps?

Yes, you need to create an account or simply log-in to the Toolbox if you already have an account.

Do I need to use the same email address on the website and in the Toolbox to download the purchased maps?

We highly recommend using the same email address. However, if you already have a Toolbox account with a different email address, please use that account.

What kind of payment methods can I use?

All major credit cards and Paypal are accepted. Some examples: Diners Club, Visa, American Express, MasterCard, Visa Debit, Maestro, Discover, MasterCard Debit

Is the online payment safe on the website and in Media Nav (Evolution) Toolbox?

The online payment system is operated by one of the world's biggest online payment processor companies, Worldpay. It uses https secure transmission data protocol. You provide your credit card data directly to Worldpay, the website or the Toolbox does not receive or store any sensitive data. Worldpay informs the site and the Toolbox if your payment was successful or not.

I do not have a debit/credit card for online payment. / I do not want to pay online.

online payment is the only accepted payment method both on the website and in the Toolbox. You may wish to visit one of the authorized dealerships of your vehicle brand to help you update your navigation map.

I mistyped the invoicing data or I need an invoice for a different name and address. How can I change the invoice?

According to the Terms and Conditions of purchase, invoice data cannot be modified after sending the order.

What happens if the update or payment process is aborted?

If the process is aborted before payment, you must start the purchase over again. If the update process is aborted after a successful payment, and the activation code has not been displayed, please check your Email Inbox and look for the email in which we sent the code. After that proceed with launching Media Nav (Evolution) Toolbox to download purchased content from the website.

What happens if I have not received the activation code?

If after a successful payment the activation code is not displayed, please check your Email Inbox and look for the email in which we sent the code. In case you did not receive an email, please contact customer service.

What happens if I did not copy or save the activation code?

The activation code is sent to the email address you provided during the payment automatically. Please check your inbox.

What happens if I mistype the activation code in the Toolbox?

The activation code is a unique code. You will not be able to download the purchased map or content without the correct activation code. Please try to enter the code correctly.

What should I do with the activation code?

The activation code is a unique code which entitles you to download the purchased maps/content. You will need to download the Toolbox from the website and enter the received activation code in the ‘Redeem a Code’ field. Please check the Guide for details.

No map is displayed after entering the activation code in the Toolbox.

Make sure you did not mistype the activation code. If still no map is displayed, please contact the Customer Support

How long does it take to download the updates?

The download time depends on your internet bandwidth. To download the content you purchased you need to have a broadband internet connection.

If I have more than one device, can I update both of them with the content I purchased? Can I use the same activation code for more than one device?

No. Purchased contents or the activation code can only be used on one device.

I have purchased extra content, but it does not appear for my device, when I connect my USB storage device to the Media Nav (Evolution) Toolbox.

Media Nav (Evolution) Toolbox gives me the following error: "An error occurred, please try again later"

This error may be caused by various issues, e.g. the internet connection is down, the server is not responding, etc. Please try to connect to the Toolbox later. If the error persists, contact the Customer Support Team.
